Early 19th-century British maritime topography. This genuine Regency-period hand-coloured aquatint engraving captures the Dover Harbour beneath the White Cliffs.

It’s the transitional naval era, so has both traditional two-masted and early steam shipping.

Historically intact Verre Églomisé mount. This specialized technique (the deep black border with gold hand-painted in reverse directly onto the back of the glass) was exclusively for high-end art.

Circa 1815–1828 copper/steel engraving with particularly excellent original hand-applied watercolour washes.
