Published in London in 1818 during the English Regency era, this engraving is from the first edition of Conrad Loddiges’ The Botanical Cabinet.
Every print from this quarto series was hand-coloured by artisans to match exotic specimens grown at the famous Loddiges nursery in Hackney.
