Description
Set of three authentic antique 1837 hand-coloured copperplate engravings by Migliavacca. These are from the historic series Il Costume Antico e Moderno (Ancient and Modern Costume) by Giulio Ferrario, which documented global cultures.
These plates are based on 17th-century sketches from Philipp Cluver’s Germania Antiqua and depict the customs of the ancient Germanic tribes.
Included:
Mounted Warrior: Holding a lance with a decapitated head from battle.
Cavalry: Two armed riders with shields and helmets.
Germanic Warriors with spears.
