Triptych set of three antique 1850s framed hand water coloured prints by the renowned Scottish Orientalist David Roberts (1796–1864).
These are high-quality, hand-coloured vintage architectural views capturing sacred historical interiors from his landmark 1840s series, The Holy Land, Syria, Idumea, Arabia, Egypt & Nubia.
(Left to Right):
1 The Stone of Unction, Church of the Holy Sepulchre worshippers gathered around the anointing stone in Jerusalem.
2 Chapel of Elijah on Mount Sinai / Mount Horeb interior sanctuary.
3 The Shrine of the Annunciation, Nazareth
Each frame measures 12 x 15 inches (approx. 30 x 38 cm).
