Description

18th-century copperplate engraving of the Dutch Golden Age painter Carel de Moor (1655–1738). This piece was engraved by Carlo Gregori (after Giovanni Domenico Ferretti) for the prestigious Serie di Ritratti de Pittori published in Florence between 1752 and 1762.The portrait depicts the artist in a classic Baroque pose within an oval border, featuring the date 1691 (MDCXCI). The lower cartouche is inscribed “Carlo Moor Pittore.”
